Mining
Walk into the old mineshaft, break rocks, and sell the ore. No clock-in and no pickaxe — if you can reach a rock, you can mine it.
How to start
- Find the Abandoned Mine blip in Great Chaparral.
- Walk in. The boarded entrance is open.
- Press E on a rock and wait out the mine.
That's the whole loop. No tool to buy.
How it works
Only some rocks in the tunnel are yours this cycle. Other players have a different set, so you are not competing for the same veins.
A rock you mine disappears for you until the next reset. You can hit each of yours once per cycle. Walk the whole shaft — they are not all sitting at the door.
Rocks reset for everyone at 3:00 AM and 3:00 PM server time. Your leftover rocks from the last window don't carry over.
Selling
Take the minerals to the Pawn Shop blip (Davis / Strawberry). Press E and sell. Payout is dirty cash.
Mineral prices are rolled once per server restart (a bit under or over the usual rate). The pawn shop's live offer is what you actually get.
Rough sale prices
Per piece, before the restart modifier. Common ore often drops in a small stack, so one rock can pay more than the "each" number.
| Find | Typical sale |
|---|---|
| Common ore | About $6,000–$10,000 each. A few pieces at once is normal, so a rock is often $15,000–$40,000. |
| Better metals | About $20,000–$50,000 |
| Gems | About $90,000–$300,000 |
| Jackpot | Up toward $1 million on a lucky restart |
Most rocks are common ore. The expensive stuff is rare on purpose.
Tips
- Nobody else can take “your” rocks. Mine at your own pace.
- Walk the full tunnel. Veins spawn deeper in, not just at the entrance.
- Come back after 3 AM or 3 PM if you already cleared your set.
- Don't expect a jackpot every visit. Treat mining as steady filler with the occasional spike.
